Set up the scan-tool solenoid test
With the fluid check passed, turn the ignition on and put the vehicle in Service Mode. Before commanding the solenoid, make sure the related solenoid-control code called out by this path is not set. If that related code is present, check what it means first instead of forcing this test. If it is not set, continue. For the scan-tool test, the Transmission Fluid Temperature parameter must be between 20 and 80°C (68 and 176°F). Also keep in mind the scan-tool control function may turn off after 30 s. Command Transmission Control Solenoid Valve 8 enabled for greater than 2 s, then compare Transmission Control Solenoid Valve 8 Current to Transmission Control Solenoid Valve 8 Current Command.
