P0505 can be set with other faults, and those can change the direction of the diagnosis.
Confirm base idle speed
Next, check base idle speed. Start the engine, make sure the vehicle is at operating temperature, and let it idle for a minimum of 1 minute. Then access the PCM and monitor the RPM PID.
