A normal BF-CAN_H result is less than 1 Ω, and a normal BF-CAN_L result is less than 1 Ω. If either side is abnormal, call that a circuit problem before moving deeper into module diagnosis.

Check the VF-CAN K open-wire path

Next move to the VF-CAN K high and low circuits. With IG Mode OFF, disconnect ICM connector P, 36P, and the VSA modulator-control unit connector, 46P. Perform the open-wire inspection between the specified female terminals for those disconnected connectors. VF-CAN K_H should be less than 1 Ω, and VF-CAN K_L should be less than 1 Ω. If either measurement is abnormal, the fault is in that circuit path.

Check the XD-CAN A open-wire path

Then check the XD-CAN A high and low circuits. With IG Mode OFF, disconnect CAN gateway connector A, 24P, and ICM connector A, 28P. Perform the open-wire inspection between the specified female terminals for those disconnected connectors. XD-CAN A_H should be less than 1 Ω, and XD-CAN A_L should be less than 1 Ω. If either result is abnormal, stay with circuit diagnosis; do not jump to a control unit yet.

Check body control module network presence

Once the external circuit checks are normal, evaluate the body control module on the network. Use the HDS F-CAN Bus Connected Unit Check. The expected result is that the body control module is shown as Detected on BF-CAN. If that check is abnormal, the path points to a problem with the body control module.
