Rocker arm oil control solenoid check

The solenoid internal circuit should measure 13.9 – 16.9 Ω at room temperature. If that check is abnormal, the diagnostic direction is a problem with the rocker arm oil control valve. The exact terminal identification matters here; if the connector view or terminal callout is not clear, pause and verify it before probing. Do not guess at terminals.
VTS and PG open-wire checks
If the solenoid inspection is normal, move to the circuit open-wire checks. Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS and wait more than 1 minute. Then disconnect the rocker arm oil control solenoid 2P connector and disconnect PCM connector E, the 80P connector. With IG Mode OFF, inspect the disconnected solenoid connector female terminals and the disconnected PCM connector E female terminals according to the terminal layout. The VTS open-wire check should be less than 1 Ω, and the PG open-wire check should also be less than 1 Ω. If either check is abnormal, the diagnostic direction is a problem in the circuit.
Remaining PCM determination and wrap-up
